 Description
So much more than a map or a GPS, AvMap's EKP V is a fully portable aeronautical GPS system that's loaded with a host of instrument and navigational features as well as flight planning capabilities. This sleek device connects to on-board hardware via a special docking system and can be configured to work with various aircraft using the PROFILE feature. The EKP V comes installed with detailed cartographic information including Jeppesen data, airway/airport information, vertical obstruction, terrestrial and marine object data, as well as background and land elevation—all with the option to save and view tracks and way-points on Google Earth.
  • Users can access data via a bright 7-inch display with an intuitive interface, full QWERTY virtual keyboard, joystick, and smart wheel with horizontal or vertical viewing plus night vision
  • The included docking station connects the GPS to several on-board devices at the same time including autopilot, XM WX, CAS, EIS, EFIS and more
  • Provides capabilities for full flight planning (up to 15 flight plans of up to 100 legs each), an editable aircraft checklist, full simulator functions, integration with other on-board devices, a TAWS Terrain Awareness and Warning System, crossed airspace predictor and adviser and customizable aircraft profiles
  • Display layout can be customized by the user so that they can view flight information where and when they want to see it; this includes maps, vertical profile on map, different settings for TAWS, XM Satellite Weather, nav data, and HSI
  • Equipped with a range of cartographic data including background and land elevation, terrestrial data, marine objects, Jeppesen data, Low Airways, private airports, vertical obstructions, the Seattle Avionics' ChartData with 32,000 geo-referenced approach charts and airport diagrams for USA and Europe, and VFR reporting points; way-points and tracks can be saved and viewed in Google Earth
  • Compatible with AvMap INCAS BB or other collision avoidance systems, and XM Satellite Weather
  • Complete with a special docking station consisting of two serial ports and 1 USB OTG master/slave with audio video input and audio output
  • Equipped with a built-in u-blox 5 GPS receiver, built-in battery, and speaker
